Training at Autism Home Support

Autism Home Support Services believes in investing in our team so that our clients’ investment in us is most productive. Our initial training program includes classroom overview of autism spectrum disorder characteristics, professional conduct, and ABA basics. Autism Home Support Services uses a Skills Coach Competency Assessment to gauge and develop team members in key areas of competency such as:

  • Preparation/Structure of Session- Notes, organization, pace, transition, breaks, engagement
  • Table Work – Materials, use of SD’s, balance, consistency
  • Prompting –Appropriateness, fading, avoiding inadvertent, correction procedures
  • Data Collection – Data sheets, recording, flagging
  • Reinforcement – Pairing, role of self, differential, labeling, intonation, body language, facial,“working for”, preparation, FUN
  • Incidental Teaching/ Programmed Opportunities – Manding, intraverbals, environment, control of reinforcers, motivation
  • Behavior Intervention

AHSS requires all Care Team Members complete 30-40 hours of industry best practice online training including interactive quizzes.  Our methodology includes knowledge based and skills based evaluations as well as ongoing coaching. Quarterly refresher training include updates for First Aid, CPR, Prevention/Physical Intervention , and Teaching Methods. Training is offered for parents and others on a periodic Workshop Fee basis.

Individualized training by experienced Care Team Members and Supervisors is a core component of our program to assure that Care Team Member skills are developed and adapted to individual client needs and are developing to meet competency requirements over time.

Associate Technology Architect

Job summary

Accountable for the alignment of business objectives to the delivery of data capabilities; with responsibilities including researching, analyzing, designing and proposing requirements-based solutions that are appropriate for AHSS business and technology needs. May provide work direction and assignment as well as training to AHSS staff. The level of work required is considered intermediate and staff must be able to work under general supervision. This job does not have any direct reports.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technology & trends and utilizes this knowledge to assist with the design of innovative IT solutions that support and drive business decisions.
  • Responsible for researching, collecting and disseminating information on emerging technologies and presenting the information to management.
  • Establishes data governance, quality, tools and infrastructure standards and business processes.
  • Identifies the best way to integrate, organize and govern AHSS data to facilitate the development and application of predictive modeling capabilities that will help us more effectively serve our clients, their families and Care Team Members.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of the enterprise’s IT systems and architectures.
  • Maintains knowledge of a variety of operating environments, security models and development platforms.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs hardware & infrastructure upgrades and installations and performing minor repairs and adjustments to personal computers and printers.

Clinical Administrative Assistant

Reports To:

Clinical Services Director

Function Summary

This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Clinical Services providing administrative services to the clinical function and providing support to solve clinical issues, enhance operations and identify opportunities to improve the clinical function. This position works closely with the Clinical Region Teams, Talent Management, Client Services, Operations, Finance, Clinical and the Family Support functions as needed.

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to the clinical team, including data collection with respect to key metrics, and assistance in evaluating and recording processes for a rapidly growing service delivery system. This position will support the Clinical team through scheduling, organizing and documenting meetings, maintaining agendas, and coordinating detail-oriented tasks.   In addition, may perform other department specific projects as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Specific Duties

  1. Maintains key metrics/scorecards in collaboration with the Lead BCBA/Region team to drive operational performance and identified quality measures
  2. Assists in preparation of  data analysis using excel and other current software systems to provide key project information which may affect the key clinical metrics.
  3. Assists with special projects relating to promoting quality growth for the AHSS organization, which require additional information to form actions plans such as soliciting feedback, attending Clinical region meetings and
  4. Provides assistance in organizing data, meetings, calendars, and communications for Clinical Services.
  5. Coordinates detail-related tasks as assigned.
  6. Provides the Director of Clinical Services with administrative support as needed.

Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field (i.e., business, human services).
  2. Excellent oral and written communication
  3. Excellent analytical skills required.
  4. Enjoys dealing with and resolving people problems
  5. Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel expertise required.
  6. Familiarity with behavior analysis, human services helpful

Managed Care Contracting and Relations Manager

The Managed Care Contracting and Relations Manager supports the Operations of Autism Home Support Services (AHSS), by performing activities involved in insurance management, contacting physician groups, managed care organizations, and hospital systems. The position has responsibility for identifying and targeting strategic and transactional relationships with managed care organizations and insurance payers with the goal to have AHSS as in-network provider for mutually beneficial relationships. Responsible to maintain the database of organizations; negotiate contracts, continued relations with contracted managed care and HMO groups. Working with our finance organization, the Managed Care and Contracting Relations Manager negotiates economically sustainable rates and provides insurance partners with analysis and data to support strong relationships. This position works closely with the New Markets Manager, Finance Director, the Director of Insurance & Billing and, as needed, other members of the organization. Provides critical support in new markets by identifying resources and organizations to assure reimbursement success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Educates AHSS on managed care, contracting and related protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Negotiates terms of contractual arrangements with physician groups, hospital systems, IPA, and managed healthcare firms within established limits. Negotiates contract renewals.
  • Participates in team meetings to review progress to budget goals and ensures issues are resolved.  Functions as an active team member by communicating ideas, concerns and issues, and using quality improvement techniques to improve performance.
  • Ensures provider database and documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and complete.
  • Plays a key role in researching and establishing additional markets for AHSS.
  • Serves as resource and trainer for insurance specialist team in all functional areas.
  • Analyzes changing business requirements; makes recommendations to management for process improvements as required.
  • Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the healthcare, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a healthcare organization, with a focus on contracting and financial analysis.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software systems.
  • Knowledge of provider contracting, financial arrangements, and fee schedules, including understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and guidelines preferred.

This role is to assure that Autism Home Support clients receive the number of hours of service that they desire and have been approved for via insurance. In addition, the Customer Service/Scheduler is essential in supporting our Care Team in meeting their job objectives for the number of hours they would like to work, in receiving training, and in scheduling time off appropriately.

This position interacts closely with:

  • Family Support Team to understand client needs by area
  • BCBA’s (Board Certified Behavior Analysts)/Supervisors to understand client needs by skill set and Care Team capabilities

Board Certified Behavior Analysts for Children with Autism
