The days may be starting to get longer, but we still have a couple months of winter weather to get through before spring is here. Last week’s snow storm closed a large amount of schools and businesses throughout the greater Chicagoland area for at least a day. The disruption caused by snow days can be a source of pure joy for most neurotypical kids and an annoyance or inconvenience to many adults. But as noted in the linked article, “…children on the autism spectrum usually have a hard time coping with the breach in their daily schedules”, potentially leading to a lot of anxiety or stress. “So what is a parent to do?”
