As much as our knowledge and understanding of autism has grown over the years, there’s still so much to learn! In fact, this article on Autism Speaks’ website has 8 things you might not have known about autism.
For example, did you know:
- No two people with autism are the same – even twins?
- About 1/3 of children and adults with autism are nonverbal?
- Many people with autism experience light, color, and sound more intensely than everyone else?
