A recent study found that about 26 percent of young adults on the autism spectrum receive no services. The study included employment, as a possible “service”. Hopefully in the coming years this number will decrease. Children are being diagnosed with autism at younger and younger ages, enabling them to receive the services they need early on in their life.
Early intervention has the potential to eliminate the need for therapy or other autism services in adulthood.
