AHSS Michigan’s 2016 Holiday Party & Core Values Awards

From left to right: Laurie Polen, Kristi Pienkosv, Delfina Kluska, Liz Trujillo, Ian Cohoon, and Laura Ward

Last weekend, we had our 2016 Holiday Party & Core Values Awards with our Michigan team! We always love the opportunity to thank our employees for everything they do for AHSS and the families we serve. Overwhelmingly nominated by their peers for their outstanding contributions, 2016’s winners are:

POSITIVITY & ENERGY Liz Trujillo (CTM2) – Liz works with many clients with difficult behaviors. Despite that, she comes back with a smile day after day and will even ask for additional clients. If we’d let her, she’d probably work 60 hours a week! Her positivity contributes to reliable and consistent treatment.

INTEGRITY Ian Cohoon (Center Lead BCBA) – Ian demonstrates integrity in everything he does, and he always puts the clients first. He is clear and precise, truthful and honest. He strives in all ways to make sure that his good character reflects the ethics, principles, and values of ABA and AHSS.

EMPATHY Delfina Kluska (Coordinating Program Lead) – Delfina not only demonstrates enormous empathetic capacity for the clients she works with, but also for the CTMs and Program Leads. She goes above and beyond to provide support to everyone with understanding and patience.

TEAMWORK Kristi Pienkosv (Program Lead) – Kristi has played a major role for so many teams at AHSS. Her ability to take on new roles, adapt to foreign situations, and maintain an engaged, team-oriented attitude is remarkable.

GETTING STUFF DONE Laurie Polen (Post Supervision Intern) – Laurie does what it takes to not only get the job done, but to produce an outcome that exceeds expectations. She is an energizer bunny! She does not stop until the work is all finished with integrity.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE AWARD Laura Ward (BCBA Specialist) – Laura has gone above and beyond without hesitation when asked to provide coverage for maternity leaves. She is always among the first to sign up and contribute to special projects, and she frequently attends or hosts team-building events where she always finds a way to boost morale and lift spirits. She is a positive role model for every member of the Michigan team, is constantly called upon for her clinical insight and wisdom, and consistently exemplifies Our Core Values.

Congratulations and thank you to our entire team for continuously upholding and personifying the AHSS core values each and every day!
