Our AHSS Core Values
Working in our AHSS Autism Center has given me the opportunity to share the “YES!!!” moments with co-workers. We have a young boy that has been working on greetings as he arrives and departs from the center. It had been prompted for the most part in the past couple weeks.
The other day, while getting ready to go home for the day, he turned around and said “BYE” on his own. The reaction of the four grown adults was priceless. We were all clapping and cheering for him and came running from different directions.
Hearing my co-workers cheer along with me was a warm and fuzzy moment. It doesn’t matter who supervises your case, you’re loved by all of us!
