I know I am not working directly with kiddos, however I love being able to speak to the parents. I have a fairly good understanding of how overwhelmed and stressed they are when that first call comes in.
I enjoy being able to explain that there are resources out there for them and further explain how our amazing clinical staff can effectively help their child. Often, by the end of our conversation, you can hear the voice/temperament change to a more relaxed demeanor. I consider that the best part of my job — knowing I have given a parent hope and excitement for better days ahead.
