Autism Family Foundation (AFF) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families impacted by autism. AFF’s main goal is to help their local families via events such as their upcoming Annual Special Needs Holiday Event, happening on Saturday, December 17, 2016. The Founder/Executive Director, Wanda Malone, is an active parent in the autism community and she also has a child with Autism. (AHSS is also proud to have her on our team as a Family Support Coordinator!)
“This is our 5th Annual Special Needs Holiday Event. This is FREE to families that register online. All of the registered families will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and receive a gift. We will also have arts, crafts, balloons, and refreshments! This event has continued to be a local tradition to our families, who’ve given us feedback such as:
“This is our first time visiting with Santa and no one judges my child or my family”
“My child was afraid of Santa and now because of your event my child looks forward to seeing Santa at your event.”
This event has continued to be such a success and it makes the volunteers, and me personally, soooo happy; and I love seeing the families and the kids be so happy! It’s all about giving back!”
Families can register for this event at www.autismfamilyfoundation.net (Limited spots available!). Please RSVP no later than November 15th!
If you would like to volunteer or know of a sponsor to help make this event a success, please contact Wanda Malone at [email protected].
