Success at Christmas – Why we do what we do

This Why We Do What We Do is a two-for-one! This first was shared last year by Lynnae Monson, Region Lead. It seems an appropriate week to revisit it!

[Care Team Member] Carlos Miyasato works with [client] J, and he has been so perfect for this family. J’s mom cannot say enough about how much he is appreciated! During our last team meeting J’s mom was saying that she wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to go to Christmas Eve church service because J wouldn’t sit through it and he would act up. Carlos offered to attend the service with the family and he reported that J sat quietly through the entire church service and even sang a song at the end. What an amazing experience for the family!!! Nice work Carlos!!!!

Love hearing stories like this! It just goes to show how special the relationships between our team and our families are!

Carlos with Santa at our Autism Center!

And how are things going this year?

Carlos is going to church with them again this year! Apparently as they were writing rules for church, J told Carlos that he wanted to add that singing is only expected from people who want to sing because “I don’t want to sing at church”  — LOL!
…AND, I just had New Connections Academy tell me last week that they are referring families to AHSS because they think Carlos does such a good job! He’s bringing in referrals now!
Fantastic work from a fantastic team and truly encapsulates why we do what we do!
